Founded in 1974 in Fairhaven, Bellingham, WA, Fairhaven Organic Flour Mill began as a cooperative with a vision for organic flour production. Over the years, it transitioned from its original founders to Bill Distler and later to Kevin Christensen and Matsuko, who relocated the mill to Burlington in 2010. In 2019, a local group of farmers and visionaries took over, aiming to advance the mill's legacy while supporting local agriculture and the community.
