The story of Cornell Pump Company began in 1946, when a group of five visionary individuals from Pacific Pump Company decided to forge their own path. Drawing on their extensive experience and deep understanding of pump mechanics, they set out to create a company that would redefine the standards of quality and efficiency in the pump industry.

From the outset, Cornell Pump was committed to excellence. With a complete service department and the capability to fabricate parts in-house, the team quickly became familiar with the most common pump failures. They identified recurring issues such as pressure spikes during operation, overloading capacity, and water-related failures of pump-end motor bearings. Armed with this knowledge, Cornell Pump began servicing all models of pumps, earning a reputation for reliability and innovation.

But the team didn’t stop there. They asked themselves a critical question: "Can we do better?" The answer came in 1949 with the introduction of the "Rain-O-Flow" irrigation pumps. These were among the first irrigation-specific models designed and manufactured to address the very problems they had identified in the repair shop. This commitment to solving real-world challenges became a hallmark of Cornell Pump’s approach to engineering and design.

Today, Cornell Pump stands as a leader in the industry, known for producing high-quality, efficient centrifugal pumps across a wide range of applications.
